About Anissa
Welcome to my ePortfolio! With over 14 years of diverse healthcare experience, I am a dedicated nursing student based in Winchester and currently serving as a Clinical Technician in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in Northern Virginia. Explore my background, clinical journey, and future aspirations.

A solid foundation in patient care
My healthcare career spans more than 14 years across multiple clinical environments. Along the way, I have earned numerous certifications and licenses, including CNA, CCMA, EMT-B, RMA, Phlebotomy Technician, and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Each role has broadened my perspective, teaching me empathy, adaptability, and the vital importance of holistic patient advocacy.

Clinical focus in critical care
Currently working as a Clinical Technician in a high-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), I thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where critical thinking directly impacts patient outcomes. Alongside critical care, I share a deep passion for labor and delivery, valuing both the technical demands of acute illness and the compassionate support required during life-changing moments.

Future ambitions and ongoing growth
Taking the step to pursue my nursing degree is the culmination of years of hands-on experience. My long-term professional goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner in critical care and ultimately advance to CRNA school. I am committed to academic excellence, continuous learning, and providing superior, evidence-based care.
"Every patient interaction has shaped my clinical judgment, reinforcing my lifelong dedication to advanced nursing and compassionate care."
